I am now officially a Fear Free Certified Professional through Fear Free Pets. I’m always working to provide the most cutting-edge animal training information and instruction for pet guardians, and that involves consistently learning through continuing education opportunities.
What does this mean for our training programs? I will be adding new content to the online Canine Academy related to helping dogs (and cats, eventually) with cooperative care – to increase comfort with veterinary handling and in-home care. Reward-based training can help reduce fear, anxiety, and stress related to body handling and veterinary procedures, which translates to better behaved, calmer and happier pets.
